March 05, 2025 - March 06, 2025
Completed

Performance Days, the functional fabric fair, was introduced by Weichert Agencies in 2008 as the pioneering event dedicated specifically to functional fabrics in sportswear and workwear. It remains the only fair of its kind, focusing on high-performance fabrics that cater to the activewear industry, covering a comprehensive range of materials, including yarns, finishes, and accessories. The event has quickly established itself as an important industry platform, becoming a semi-annual event that takes place in Munich, Germany.

One of the unique aspects of Performance Days is its specialized focus on functional textiles, which makes it a vital space for both established and emerging trends in the sector. The fair offers a curated experience for textile producers and suppliers to showcase innovations in materials designed to meet the increasing demands of activewear. Whether it’s fabrics designed for sports, outdoor activities, or workwear, the event emphasizes performance, durability, and functionality, which are key attributes for today’s active consumer.

Held twice a year, in spring and autumn, the timing of Performance Days fits well within the production schedules of fashion and sportswear industries, allowing designers, product managers, and buyers to start working on their new collections in advance. The fair’s smaller, more intimate setting sets it apart from larger trade fairs, providing a calm, workshop-like atmosphere that facilitates in-depth business discussions. Visitors and exhibitors have more time to connect and engage, allowing for meaningful interactions and deals that might be missed at larger, more hectic events. The focus is on building strong relationships and providing a tailored experience for each participant.

For textile manufacturers and suppliers, exhibiting at Performance Days is a significant opportunity to network with a wide range of European sportswear brands. With its concentration on functional fabrics, the fair attracts high-quality buyers and decision-makers who are looking for the latest developments and innovations in the field of activewear textiles. Exhibitors not only showcase their latest fabric innovations but also have the chance to discuss trends, sustainability practices, and new technologies in an environment that fosters business growth and creative exchange.

In addition to the exhibition, Performance Days often includes seminars, trend presentations, and workshops that provide valuable insights into the latest industry developments. These discussions offer attendees the chance to stay up-to-date with emerging trends in fabrics, sustainability, and technology. TPS - TEXTILE PRINTING & SUSTAINABILITY CONFERENCE

October 14, 2024 - October 15, 2024
Completed

Over the course of generations, the textile industry has garnered a reputation as one of the world's major polluters. However, the sector is now responding to growing calls for change with a renewed focus on sustainability. As environmental and social awareness rises, textile markets, business models, and production techniques are undergoing significant transformations. Central to this evolution is print technology, which is exploring new possibilities presented by automation and digitalization.

In September 2022, the Textile Printing & Sustainability Conference was launched to address these changes and chart a path forward. The conference aimed to explore three pivotal areas: the circular economy, bio-based dyes and fibers, and digital technology. Bringing together participants from 15 countries, the event delved into the myriad factors and global trends shaping the textile market, both now and in the foreseeable future. Topics such as customer-made fashion, responsible business practices, quality concerns, and the growing demand for customization and personalization were thoroughly examined.

The conference provided a platform for industry experts from the two primary printing processes—inkjet and screen printing—to exchange best practices and discuss emerging applications. It offered insights into the benefits and challenges associated with each technology, promoting a deeper understanding of how different printing methods can contribute to sustainability goals.

Textile Printing & Sustainability took a comprehensive approach to market and technological evolution. It encompassed the entire supply chain, including manufacturers who handle fabrics both before and after treatment, the printing process itself—covering inks and equipment—along with printers, value-added resellers, and brand owners. By addressing material science, print systems, and innovations in micro-factories and finishing techniques, the conference gathered a diverse group of stakeholders dedicated to driving change and fostering innovation in the textile industry.
