ACL has been operating since 1967 and is a member of the Grimaldi Group. ACL operates independently and is not a member of a shipping alliance.

The ACL fleet consists of five G4 combo ro-ro/containerships, namely Atlantic Star, Atlantic Sail, Atlantic Sea, Atlantic Sky, and Atlantic Sun. Transatlantic journey takes around 6.5-8 days on average.

ACL core network links North America and Northern Europe by weekly direct sailings. ACL regular A service includes the following ports: Hamburg, Antwerp, Liverpool, Belfast, Dublin, Halifax, New York, Baltimore, and Norfolk. Additionally, ACL offers ro-ro services to South America, Middle East, Mediterranean, West Africa, Asia, and Baltic areas.
