The Turmeric Extract (USP Standard) supplied by Xi'an Chunjia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is manufactured in strict compliance with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards. It is prepared from the dried rhizomes of Curcuma longa L. (Zingiberaceae) using acetone, methanol or other suitable solvents, refined through low-temperature ultrasonic extraction combined with macroporous resin purification. The finished product is an orange-yellow fine powder with a characteristic aroma and slight bitterness of turmeric. Key specifications meet USP requirements: total curcuminoids (sum of curcumin, desmethoxycurcumin, bisdesmethoxycurcumin) NLT 55.0% on dried basis, with curcumin accounting for 70.0%~80.0%, desmethoxycurcumin 15.0%~25.0%, and bisdesmethoxycurcumin 2.5%~6.5%; loss on drying ≤7.0%, IR spectrum consistent with reference standard, identified by TLC and HPLC, free of aflatoxins, pesticide residues and heavy metal exceedances.
