They are high in fiber, vitamins (Vitamin B), carbohydrates and omegas. When fully ripe and luscious, they are a yellow hue and are slightly firm. Unripe Bananas are typically green in color and are firm to the touch. From farm to table, these Bananas move through a gamut of colors between green and yellow. Opinions are divided about the best time to eat a Banana. While some prefer to eat them when they re just ripe, others prefer to wait for them to over-ripen and become softer and often sweeter. Green unripe Bananas are harvested, washed, treated for storage and packed with foam in vacuum in plastic bag. These packed bananas are kept in corrugated boxes in 7 kg & 13 kg new weight. One 40' HC reefer container takes 1540 boxes of 13 kg net weight, 20 ton of banana. Green unripe bananas are Precooled, stored and transported at 13 deg C, until destination
