Typing out a product catalogue by hand is slow. If your products are already listed on another B2B marketplace, AI import copies them across for you. You paste a link, Globy reads the page, and your products come back filled in and ready for you to check.

This guide explains what you can paste, what happens after you do, and what to do when a link is rejected.

What you can paste

The importer accepts two kinds of links:

1. A company’s catalogue or category page containing several of your product listings.
The importer will review each listing and copy them one by one.

2. A single product page.
Use this when you only want to bring across one item, or when you want to fix a product that did not import cleanly the first time.

Links to anything else — your own website, a Google Drive file, a PDF, a social media post — are not accepted. The importer only reads pages on the marketplaces in the list below.

You do not need to shorten or clean up the link.

Marketplaces often give each supplier their own address on the site, so your page might look like this:

That is still a Made-in-China page and the importer accepts it. Copy the whole address from your browser's address bar, including everything after the question mark, and paste it as it is. Removing parts of the link can point the importer at a different page than the one you were looking at.

How to import

Open your supplier workspace and go to Products.
Click Add products → Import Product.
Paste your link into the field and submit.The importer checks the link straight away.
If the address is not on a supported marketplace, you are told immediately and nothing is imported.
If the link is accepted, the import starts running in the background. You can close the window and carry on working — you do not have to sit and wait.
When it finishes, you get an email and a notification in the platform telling you how many products came through.
You need to review, fill in the missing details, and publish the products manually.

What the AI fills in

The importer reads the source page and fills in what it can find: product name, description, images, category, specifications, minimum order quantity, price, lead time and packaging details.

Two things to keep in mind:

It can only use what is on the page. If your listing on the other marketplace has no MOQ, the MOQ field arrives empty here too. Pages with richer detail produce better imports.

It makes judgement calls. Choosing a Globy category, or reading a specification written in an unusual format, involves guesswork. It is usually right, and sometimes not.

That is why imported products land in your product list as drafts. Nothing goes live to buyers until you open each product, check the details and publish it yourself.

When something goes wrong

1. What you see
The link is not from a supported site

What it means
The address is not on one of the nine marketplaces above

What to do
Check the list. If your products are on a marketplace that is missing, tell support which one — the list gets extended based on what suppliers ask for

2. What you see
The link is not valid

What it means
The text pasted is not a working web address, usually a copy-paste that lost part of the link

What to do
Go back to the source page, copy the address from the browser bar again, and paste the whole thing

3. What you see
The page could not be read

What it means
The page loaded but the importer found no product data. Common causes: the page needs a login, the products load only after you scroll, or the page has been taken down

What to do
Try a single product page instead of a catalogue page. If that fails too, add the product manually

4. What you see
Only some products imported

What it means
The importer read the page but could not extract every listing on it
