Product details

Standard Splitboxes for root observation in A3 paper size (external dimensions), 3 cm deep (internal dimensions) and have a perforated bottom for water drainage. The "Splitbox" allows two plants per Rhizobox to be grown separately for space efficient experiments / demonstrations (e.g. different fertilizers, drought, species)AND plant breeding related root screens side by side - with a middle separator / center partition. The internal dimensions of the A3 boxes are 40.2 cm high and 26.1 cm wide (12.8 cm per compartment). The front (clear) and back (black) panels are removable for soil filling/root sampling. The clear front panel allows observation / imaging of root system development and/or mycorrhizal hyphae / soil fauna. The Splitboxes are made of durable acrylic (4 mm PMMA) and come unassembled with all necessary hardware included (hex screws, spacers, etc.).
