Standard Rhizoboxes in A4 paper size (external dimensions), are 3 cm deep (internal dimensions) and have a perforated bottom for water drainage. The Boxes are used for root breeding and educative displays on soil / root interactions. The internal dimensions of the A4 boxes are 27.9 cm high and 17.4 cm wide (inside). The front (clear) and back (black) panels are individually removable for soil filling/root sampling. The clear front panel allows observation / imaging of root system development and/or mycorrhizal hyphae / soil fauna. The Rhizoboxes are made of durable acrylic (4 mm PMMA) and come unassembled with all necessary hardware included (hex screws, spacers, etc.).
