The Rhassoul Clay from Morocco is light grey to pinkish brown in color (depends on the place of obtaining) and it has a very fine texture. It is dug from very fertile ground in Atlas Mountains in Morocco and has been used since 12th century in Northern Africa, South Europe and the Middle East. It contains a lot of magnesium, potassium, silica and calcium and a bit of iron, aluminum and sodium. Our clay has a lighter color, it is of the best quality and has extreme absorbing properties. It is often used in health care centers and spas because it helps to rejuvenate skin, detoxes and tones. It is so good for the skin because of its high absorption abilities since a fast ion exchange is happening in it when it is used. It is also known to swell very much when we mix it with water because it is able to take in more fluid than other clays.
