Wet scrubbers utilize the contact between gas and liquid to transfer pollutants from the gas into the liquid, then separate the clean gas from the polluted liquid to achieve air purification. As waste gases pass through the equipment, they come into full contact with sprayed liquid (usually water), where pollutants are absorbed by the liquid or captured by droplets, thus removing them from the exhaust.
