GREEN skin pomelo : is a pomelo variety that originated in Thanh Tan commune, Mo Cay Bac district, Ben Tre province. The green-skinned pomelo fruit is spherical in shape, with an average weight of 1.2 - 2.5 kg/fruit; peel is green to yellowish green when ripe, easy to peel and fairly thin (14–18 mm); pink-red grapefruit cloves, tightly bundled and easy to separate from the septum; sweet and not sour (brix: 9.5–12%); aroma; seedless to quite a few seeds (possibly up to 30 seeds/fruit), when ripe, the pomelo seeds disappear completely; meat/fruit ratio >55%. As of 2009, Ben Tre has an area of ​​3,284 ha of green-skinned pomelo, with a yield of 9-14 tons/ha. In 2012, the price of pomelos ranged from 12,000 VND/kg (grade III) to 30,000 VND/kg (type I). This pomelo variety has been recognized as a national variety by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. Green-skinned pomelo has been exported to 50 different markets around the world. Under normal conditions, green grapefruit can be kept longer than 15 days.
