The eddy current itself will produce a magnetic field opposite to the direction of the original magnetic field, and non-ferrous metals (such as copper, aluminum, etc.) will leap forward along the direction of their transport due to the repulsive force of the magnetic field, so as to achieve separation from other non-metallic substances and achieve the purpose of separation. The main difference is the ratio value of the conductivity and density of the material, with materials with high ratio values being easier to separate than materials with low ratios.
