Product details

Firing: The wood is carbonized at a low temperature for a long time, typically over several days. At the end of the process, the heat is raised to a very high temperature (around 1000 degree Celcius), and the charcoal is exposed to oxygen, which creates a white ash surface. This final step Binchotan give distinctive white or silvery appearance.
