Reetha (Aritha) Powder is made from dry, grounded fruits from the Aretha (Reetha) tree. It is brown in color with a slight herbal scent. Dried Aritha fruits are also known as soap nuts. The powder contains a lot of saponins, thus it foams well when mixed with water and can thoroughly cleanse even oily scalp and hair. It can be used instead of a shampoo, shower gel, facial cleanser or for cleaning. It has good cleansing abilities. In Ayurveda it is used for problem skin care like psoriasis or eczema. Due to its gentle insecticide properties, it is appropriate for natural head lice removal, especially in combination with Neem powder or Neem oil. It can also be used for washing laundry, dishes and for precious metal cleaning.
