Product Description The 1121 Steam Basmati Rice is a premium variety that bridges the gap between Raw and Sella rice. It undergoes a specialized steaming process where the paddy is steam-cured briefly before milling. This process hardens the grain to reduce breakage during milling and cooking, while—crucially—preserving the pristine white color of the rice (unlike Sella, which turns creamy or golden). With an Average Grain Length (AGL) of 8.35mm+, this is the "longest of the long" in the steam category. It offers the best of both worlds: the bright, pearl-white aesthetic of raw rice and the durability and elongation of parboiled rice. When cooked, it offers a characteristic sweet aroma and grains that separate perfectly without sticking.
